In the digital world of innovation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually joined the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2023, addressing the brilliant minds gathered for the nationwide initiative. The Smart India Hackathon (SIH) is like a big event for students. It is run by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and students here get to solve real problems that the government, ministries and industries are dealing with.
PM Modi shared his excitement mentioning that he had been looking forward to talking to everyone since morning. He kept himself updated throughout the day about the efforts put in by the participants at the Smart India Hackathon.
During the event, the Prime Minister inquired about a team’s project focused on developing an IoT-based system for Railway Cargo, expressing delight in having Bangladeshi students as part of the innovative team.
PM Modi liked the cool ideas students had for Indian Railways, especially because the government is spending a lot to make things better. He also talked about inviting students from other countries to study in India – like making friends from around the world.
PM Modi said we should be careful about believing everything we see in videos or photos because some things might not be real. He also talked about how India wants everyone around the world to agree on some rules for using smart technology like Artificial Intelligence (AI).
PM Modi reminded us that technology is like a powerful tool – it can do amazing things if we use it wisely, but it can be risky if we don’t. While the Smart India Hackathon keeps coming up with cool ideas, the Prime Minister is saying, “Let’s be careful and smart about how we use technology!”
