Here is a big news in the tech world and it is related to Generative AI (GenAI), which is about to change the marketing game to a great extent. According to IDC report, by 2027, GenAI will handle about 30% of marketing tasks that might not be the most exciting, like SEO, content tweaking and digging into customer data. They predict this shift will make marketing more efficient.
In the Asia/Pacific region, almost 38% of Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs) were already trying out GenAI in 2023. Now, looking ahead, a whopping 51% want to make their content marketing even better over the next year and many are thinking about using more AI to get there.
IDC’s report further reveals some cool insights into the future of marketing. In 2028, A2000 (a fancy term for a tech thing) plans to use data and AI to handle 30% of actions in a buyer’s journey, making it a personalized adventure. GenAI is set to take over 30% of regular marketing jobs by 2027, like SEO and content work, making things smoother. Also, by 2026, more than half of consumers might use AI on their phones to find, check and buy products. And get this – conversations with AI might be how marketing works for half of the big companies by 2026, making it more real-time and interactive.
But here is the cool part. Humans are not out of the picture. According to IDC’s expert Lavanya Jindal, marketers will learn new things like storytelling, data crunching and working together across different parts of a business. So, while GenAI takes care of the routine stuff, humans bring their creative ideas to the table.
